Hands-On Support for Families and Schools
Families and educators in our area often search for ways to bring science to life for kids. Staten’s Stems helps fill that need. We lead simple, hands-on garden and compost projects that fit local spaces—like home yards, libraries, and classrooms.
Our program is set up to be easy to understand, fun to step into, and flexible for different age groups. Middleburg families and teachers can reach out to request a class visit, garden activity, or student-led project support.
Let’s Build Something Together
We believe good education starts with shared effort. That’s why we’re building garden spaces with students—including a compost and learning bed system that’s part of a Girl Scout Gold Award project. If your school, business, or group wants to help bring sustainable science education to more kids, we want to hear from you.

A Book That plants STEM at Home
We’re excited to launch our first children’s book, “The Garden with Room to Grow.” It’s a story that reflects the same mission we live each day—helping young minds understand how science works in everyday life. The book will be available soon online.

This Is the Moment to Connect
We’re growing, and we need hands, minds, and voices ready to plant change across Middleburg and beyond. No idea is too small. Whether you want to ask a question, offer support, or bring us into your space, let’s talk today. Don’t miss this chance to grow local STEM learning with us—start a conversation now and bring your ideas to life with us
